- David Augsburger
You've already taken an important step and are looking for help. I will provide you with understanding and support while we do the necessary work to create a life that is more fulfilling. I work with individuals and couples to help bring more meaning and intimacy to your relationship.
My office is a place of comfort. Patient's frequently comment on how peaceful it is to be here and how my office is a space that provides a sense of peace and order in what feels like a chaotic life. The time that we spend together is solely focused on you and your needs.
My specialty is in working with highly distressed couples. I utilize evidenced based techniques in my work to help you process through relationship ruptures and attachment injuries and heal from past wounds.
Furthermore, I give you tools that we work with in session so that you begin to gain an understanding of what you need to do to move forward in your life. Eventually this translates into success between the couple outside of session.
My work with couples is based on the work of Drs. John and Julie Gottman (The Gottman Method) and Dr. Sue Johnson (Emotion Focused Therapy). Most couples wait approximately 6 years after the point in which they originally needed therapy before they come in. Don't wait any longer if your relationship is in trouble or feels hopeless.
Please contact me now so that we can begin creating a life and relationships in which you thrive.
